⦁ Full-time – Hourly Position – 40/week
⦁ Part-time – Hourly Position – Up to 30 hours/week

Description of Position:
Performs routine maintenance functions and minor mechanical repairs on ICTC shop equipment and assists technicians as necessary. Performs building and grounds cleaning/maintenance.
⦁ Assists technicians with repairs/maintenance of ICTC vehicles, equipment and facility.
⦁ Under supervision of technician, may perform minor mechanical repairs on vehicles such as changing headlights or tires, as required.
⦁ Assist in performing scheduled maintenance on facility and equipment.
⦁ When directed by Lead Technician or Transportation Manager, drives replacement vehicle in event of mechanical breakdown.
⦁ Assist in performing pre-trip vehicle inspections as requested.
⦁ Maintain cleanliness, appearance and sanitation of restrooms, facilities, break room and offices.
⦁ Removal and bagging of trash from office and general work area.
⦁ Removal of debris from the area surrounding the ICTC physical building.
⦁ Sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning of buses.
Standards and Qualifications:
⦁ Must have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
⦁ Knowledge in light mechanical repair and maintenance, landscape maintenance, and general shop and/or manufacturing environments in helpful and preferred.
⦁ Ability to deal pleasantly with co-workers and management.
⦁ Ability to communicate orally via two-way radio.
⦁ Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
Physical Job Requirements
⦁ Must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform job functions.
⦁ Must be able to physically stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb steps, crouch, handle or move passengers.
⦁ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
⦁ Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
Other Job Requirements:
⦁ Subject to random drug testing per ICTC’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and Over-the-Counter and Prescription Drug Policy. Accepting employment will require you to submit to pre-employment, random and post-accident drug and alcohol screens (including marijuana) in accordance with the FTA.
⦁ Subject to periodic driving record check through the Department of State Bureau of Driver & Vehicle Record Lookup.
⦁ Attend seminars, training and meetings as instructed by the General Manager.
⦁ Attend employee meetings as required.
⦁ Variable Work Environments: Work is conducted indoors and out with varying environmental conditions.
⦁ When outdoors, employee will be subjected to weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions. This includes; sunshine, rain, ice, snow or mix.
⦁ Exposure to shaking objects and equipment.
